Bedtime Revolution

So, we've been worried for a while about how little sleep Monk gets. He's a bad napper and it's not all that unusual for him to barely get more than nine hours in a 24-hour period. On Saturday night Dada had to put Monk to bed (because Mama was doing a quck babysitting gig with Harry), and he decided to try a 7 p.m. bedtime instead of 8 p.m. The next morning Monk slept until 6:30 (rather than his usual 5-5:30), and that day he had a much better nap. It must be true what they say about an earlier bedtime actually fostering longer sleep. So bedtime is now officially 7 p.m., or as close as we can get it. Monk will have to sleep dirty on weeknights and have his bath in the morning because there's no way that, arriving home at 6:20, we can cook dinner, feed Monk, do tooth brushing, bath and pajamas and still have him ready for bed at 7:00. If it works, it's worth it!
